Get from PDF to first card.

Before opening Cloze Reader

1. Install Anki.
2. Install AnkiConnect using add-on code 2055492159.
3. Restart and leave Anki open.
4. Install the correct Cloze Reader version for your Mac.

Connect the desktop app

1. Choose Account & Billing in Cloze Reader.
2. Sign in in the browser.
3. Confirm that the browser code matches the app.
4. Approve the connection and return to the app.

If Anki is not detected

Open Anki, wait a few seconds, and choose Refresh Anki. If no decks appear, confirm that AnkiConnect is installed and restart both applications.

If macOS blocks the app

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway beside the Cloze Reader message. This beta has not yet completed Apple code signing and notarization.

If account email does not arrive

Check spam, confirm the address is correct, and wait a few minutes before requesting another message. Account messages come from accounts@auth.clozereader.app.

Beta support

Contact the person who invited you and include what you clicked, what you expected, and the complete error message. Never send passwords or secret keys.
